Fit Great, Look Great Typically, I wear Chaco sandals to hike in southern California but I needed something more substantial for a trip to Alaska in July. I was worried these would feel bulky and look even bulkier but neither is true! They were super comfortable right out of the box, didn't make my feet look too big and are really well made. The black/pewter are more charcoal grey/pewter and they do seem to run a 1/2 size small (I ordered a 7.5 instead of my normal 7s, and they fit perfectly).

Great, but too small! Be sure to size up! They run small, and if you're going to pair with some hiking socks, it'll be too snug. I do love Merrell though, wouldn't trust my feet to anybody else.

these shoes solved all my hiking problems These are the best hiking shoes I've ever worn. My old boots tore up my feet until they bled. These Merrell's have over 100 miles on them without the first blister. I love them.
