Best Hat ever! The Synchilla Duckbill Hat is a great hat for cold weather backpacking or any other activity. Looks great, It's warm and keeps dry when I sweat. It keeps you head completely warm.

earlier model was terrific I've worn the early model for at least 15 years and it's designed excellently, with a 5-gore construction that keeps it snug around the band yet lifted comfortably off the crown. I just came here to buy a replacement, hoping the Patagonia store would have an identical hat to my old one, after trying on this new junky model at our local outdoor store. It's crudely constructed and has none of the benefits of the early model. Patagonia, where are you???

the best winter hat ever I have worn this model hat for the last 15 years. Now my daughter wears it too to be just like Mommy. It looks great, feels warm but not hot, and doesn't mess up your hair compared to other tight fitting hats.
