these stay put, mostly I have several pairs of these no-show socks, and I'm pretty happy with them. They are pretty 'engineered' for socks, but somebody had to do it, and who better than North Face. They are well constructed and tight across the arch, perfect for my bony feet but maybe not others, and they pretty much stay put all day or during a run. I've noticed though that on some of the pairs I've had longer (6 mo), the heel slips down a little--not so much that my shoes eat my socks, just a little. Not too shabby!

Jen These socks keep my feet dry and happy during workouts, so I'm happy. The padding isn't very thick; it's about the width of a thicker cotton sock, but only in select areas, which allows your feet to breathe. Note these socks do NOT run big like one review said. I'm a size 9 and ordered a medium based on that review, and they are just a tad too small.

These run big & nearly cut my feet! I ordered several pair of these based on the single 5-star review as I needed something moisture-wicking to take with me on a trip to a very hot climate. I wore these yesterday just *walking* around with my trail running shoes, and they nearly cut my feet! The grey part across the top of the sock fits very snugly to the foot, and the white part around the ankle not so much... I wound up with very sore red indentations on my feet around the top of the foot, where the grey part meets the white part. Also, these run big. I am a size 9 and the women's large were definitely too big for me, by at least half a size.
