really different! At first, I thought I was getting another synchilla like the boxy ones of yesteryear. I was in for a big surprise! The new 1/4 zips are softer and smoother to the touch. But they are, also, much more formfitting. I had to go up a size to get the baggy look I like. Then, of course, I had to turn up the sleeves, but that was not a problem. I'm sure this fleece will be a great layering item just like its predecessor.
